My Journey & Qualifications
“I love what I do; this is soul work. It carries deep meaning for me that our partnership can lead to your transformation.”
My Journey
I am a licensed psychotherapist and trained psychedelic integration coach with over a decade of experience. Like you, I have had my own life struggles and continue to work on healing myself by taking that which is painful and turning it into my strength and wisdom. After 9/11, I worked in partnership with local leaders, and international Military and Government officials for over a decade in conflict impacted countries in the Middle East. After obtaining a Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, I honed my skills in a community mental health center by working with at-risk adults and teens struggling with trauma, substance use disorders, depression and anxiety. These and other experiences, have taught me that regardless of our trauma or mental health concerns, we all hold strengths and wisdom that can lead us to heal ourselves. We can be the light in dark places.
Our bodies hold valuable information about our thoughts, feelings, and past experiences. My coaching approach incorporates the best mind, body, and behavioral tools I have applied successfully to facilitate healing at both the physical and psychological levels. I have furthered my holistic healing approach by pairing the research and client experiences of psychedelics and non-ordinary states of consciousness medicines into my coaching offerings. Plant medicine when used appropriately and paired with therapeutic preparation and integration sessions, have shown to have a profound positive psychological impact, reducing symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and facilitating lasting positive changes in mental well-being. I offer safety, knowledge, and compassion so you can be vulnerable and explore what is holding you back from living fully.
“As long as you keep secrets and suppress information, you are fundamentally at war with yourself…The critical issue is allowing yourself to know what you know. That takes an enormous amount of courage.”
― Bessel A. van der Kolk, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma
Values
I am a passionate advocate for human rights locally and globally. I acknowledge my privileged identities and recognize the role that white, heteronormative, cis privilege have and continue to play in psychotherapy both on a systematic and personal level. I examine my own biases, assumptions, and privileges, and welcome conversations about how my identities impact my clients in the healing space. I also engage in the work of anti-racism, LGBTQ+ allyship and empowerment of military members, past and present. For many, coaching is not accessible or affordable, so I continue to work with underserved clients and donate 10% of all my psychedelic coaching income to organizations that offer mental health resources to Veterans, BIPOC and LGBTQ populations.
